Meeting the challenge of evidence-based health management: the information professional's role
King's Fund, London

Tuesday 19 April 2005

By popular demand IFM Healthcare is holding a Study Day on the information professional's role in evidence based practice for health and social care managers.

The study day will be looking at:
  • how information professionals can better communicate with managers: taking a professional approach
  • an example of a "real life" approach - the challenges faced by information professionals providing information services for managers
  • how health managers make decisions
  • their use of the evidence base to influence practice
  • can information professionals' experience of supporting clinicians in evidence-based practice be transferred to managers? If so, how?
The study day will be a mix of presentations, group discussions and practical workshops.
